1. Eigentlich habe ich heute richtig Lust, zu nähen – aber es geht zu einer Faschingsparty 2. Zur Zeit trage ich keinen Ring an meiner rechten Hand. 3. Spät am Abend schau ich immer noch mal was bei FB so los war. 4. Mit Stoff und Cutter herumprobieren und sehen was passiert – das macht Spaß. 5. Das Jahr 2012 ist noch jung und bringt mir eine schöne Reise nach Brüssel und Nantes. 6. Du weisst, dass du alt bist wenn Du morgens aufstehst 7. Was das Wochenende angeht, heute Abend freue ich mich auf mein Sofa und das Strickzeug, morgen habe ich nähen geplant und Sonntag möchte ich mal schaun, worauf ich Lust habe!

like last year I got a nice parcel again from my friend Monika. 24 times I can open a little nice wrapped package. Today I got a pretty yarn for our new obsession: knitting ;-)

Retreat result

I'm on a Quilters Retreat and finished the piecing of the last border of my Dear Jane Round Robin - YEAH I love how it turned out

I hope Val will quilt it for me

preparation time

Next weekend I'll spend with a funny group of bead-o-holics ;-) AND I'll visit my daughter and her friend - YEAH! My friend Monika is the next on my journey We'll have a good time together with 5 more women at a quilters retreat. Couldn't be better ;-) NOW I have to prepair my luggage: beads, quilt stuff, knitting, reading and all that electronic equipment with all the cords.

Das "Leftie" - Tuch von Martina Behm (s. Ravelry) macht solchen Spaß, dass ich trotz der Hitze stricke .....

Margit asked about the wool: The green is handdyed yarn which is usually used for socks (420 m = 100 gr) the solid is from Lana Grossa, cool wool Needle 3,5 (that's because I'm knitting strongly) In the middle of a heatwave I'm sitting with yarn and knit the " leftie " ( pattern at Ravelry )

My friend Elaine in San Luis Obispo just destashed her fabric stash. I was one of the lucky customers ;-) I got the perfect fabric bundles in addition to fabrics I bought on my wonderful journey in January ( in California ) here they are in their wellorganized drawer - do you see the paisley cream fabric on top, Elaine? I think it fits too

I couldn't find a place to put them, because my sewing studio was a MESS !!!! NO, I don't post a picture!!! no no But I'm busy the 3rd day now digging through my drawers which holds my fabrics. And - oh wonder - I found white-on-white-fabrics at least in 4 different places, now they are sitting nicely folded at the right spot. AND I'M SHURE - I don't need to buy WOW for quiet some time ;-) The same happened to my purple/violet/lavender stash I'm collecting for some time now. They are filling one drawer now and I think, I can stop buying purple. Have to stock up the caterpillar greens I need with them ;-)

BTW: I don't really need anymore batics right now .... just saying Next is to put all the stuff away which is piling on the floor and every horizontal surface .... see you later played with a new (for me) programm and added frames and text, have to blame Jenni that I got sidetracked ....
